Overview
TOFM stands for Transformer Oil Filtration Machine, and this machine is the core of what we build. It restores the condition of insulating oil in power and distribution transformers by removing the three things that damage it most: water, dissolved gases and solid particles.
Every TOFM transformer oil filtration machine is built to order. We size the flow rate to the oil volume and the time window on site, choose a mobile or stationary build, and add automation and the integrated oil-water centrifuge where the application needs them.

What does a transformer oil filtration machine do?
It removes water, dissolved gases and particles from transformer oil. The machine heats the oil, exposes it to high vacuum so moisture and gases evaporate, and passes it through fine filters. The result is drier, cleaner oil with better insulating strength.
What capacity transformer oil filtration machine do I need?
Choose the flow rate from the oil volume and the time available. For example, a transformer holding 10,000 litres of oil needs about 5 hours per pass through a 2,000 LPH machine. TOFM builds machines from 500 LPH to 20,000 LPH; our capacity guide explains the calculation.
Is the machine mobile?
Yes. TOFM builds trolley-mounted and skid-mounted machines for use at substations and power plants, and stationary plants for transformer factories and oil processing areas.
What is the integrated oil-water centrifuge option?
It is a centrifugal separator built into the filtration plant. It removes free water and sludge from heavily contaminated oil before the vacuum stage, so the plant handles wet oil in one system. See the oil-water centrifugal separator page.
What is the minimum order and lead time?
The minimum order is 1 unit. Manufacturing takes up to 60 to 70 days, depending on capacity and configuration.
Does TOFM supply outside India?
